Foliony
Foliony - species bred in the laboratory. Due to an error by one of Princess Celestia's laboratory assistants, ponies of this species have new abilities and features.
The name of their species comes from the words Foliage and pony.
The species is closed and is currently still in development.
Basic information
During the experiment, the pony's ears disappeared, so-called "petals" were formed instead, and the first individual also had a gem emitting a magical glow in the area of the "horn". The appearance of magical abilities is due to the use of elements of harmony. Under the guidance of Princess Celestia, magical dust was collected from the stones, which was later processed into small gems.
In a special laboratory, research was conducted on the early diseases of foals. Therefore, the experiments were conducted on artificially bred foals. Because of this, Foliony has a very kind and even childish character. They are friendly and kind towards others, they do not care about species differences.
But like children, they are characterized by excessive vindictiveness, so they should not do evil. Otherwise, they will never forgive you, you will cease to exist for them.
Since the Foliony lost the ability to perceive sound through their ears, they found another way to perceive sound vibrations. Their magic gems are now their main "organ" that provides them with hearing.

In males, the lower pairs of petals are much shorter.
The color of females and males are different. Both on the head and on the body there is a special pattern that runs all the way to the tail. The only difference is that the females have a softer color and runs along the front hooves. In males, the pattern runs through the chest and shoulders. The color runs along the back and up to the tail.

Each Foliony represents a specific flower, and this is reflected in what kind of petals it will have (color and shape). The color may not be transmitted from the flower and this is considered the norm. This can happen either because of an intentional color change in the laboratory, or because of a slight deformation due to the genes of the parents.

When a Foliony dies, the flower to which it belongs remains in its place. It works as a defense mechanism against the use of gems for evil purposes. The magic gem has strong protection and cannot be broken or pulled outFoliony, like ponies, have no special differences as ungulates. But Folionyis much larger than ordinary ponies. The height of the females is 152 cm, the males 162 cm. Foliony's growth is unstable and can vary depending on genetics, and sometimes status (royalty).

Races. Foliony has 3 races: Pegasus, Unicorns and Earth ponies. Race depends on the newborn's parents (or genes). Unicorns are most common, but if the parents have wings, the probability of a pegasus being born is 50%. If the parents have neither horns nor wings, depending on the individual(s), both a unicorn and an earth pony may be born.
Foliony and unicorns have a lot in common, and they use magic in the same way. Except that Foliony are slightly stronger than ordinary unicorns due to the use of harmony stones.
The Pegasus were given the opportunity to fly by magic gems. The capabilities of the Pegasus Foliony are severely limited, they cannot use magic like unicorns, the power of magic gems is only enough to use flight and communication.

Fruit and petal have 4 petals on the head and tail, but now one of the pairs is occupied by the leaves of the fruit, not the petals of the flower. Females may have "buds" instead of petals, fruit leaves are used as the main petals."Fruit leaves" can be of different sizes. These are individuals resulting from the crossing of Foliony (any race) second generation and ponies (any race). The probability of Foliony appearance is 30%, otherwise a pony (approximate race) is obtained, with a possible color from Foliony with a probability of 15% (with natural crossing it is 25%)The main feature of this generation is a mutation in which the child received a hairline from the parent, but only on the head. Because of this, the number of petals on the head became paired.
They can be obtained both in the laboratory and in the natural environment. With natural reproduction, the probability is higher.
Earth generation
These are individuals resulting from the crossing of Foliony (any race) a new generation of ponies (earth ponies). The probability of occurrence of Foliony is equal to:Foliony (of any race) + earth pony = 30%

Foliony (earth) + pony (pegasus/unicorn) = 40%The main feature of this generation is a mutation in which the child received a gem defect.
